Who Are We?

Welcome to Playfit, a mixed-gender social basketball club where fun and fitness are our top priorities. We’re not a competitive league—we don’t keep track of wins or losses. Instead, we focus on enjoying the game, staying active, and building a welcoming, inclusive community.

Whether you're a casual player who’s played in the past or a seasoned pro, we’ve got a spot for you. Our sessions are designed for all skill levels, so everyone can join in the fun!

Playfit isn’t just about basketball; it’s about the people. Our community is made up of individuals from all corners of the globe who have found a new home in Melbourne. And to keep things lively, we host regular social events throughout the year to bring everyone together.

How Does It Work?

Playfit is a membership-based club—meaning you’ll have a guaranteed spot in the same session each week. It's kind of like a gym membership: you’ll pay for your spot each week, even if you can’t make it to a game. But don’t worry—we’ll do our best to find you another game to make up for the one you missed.

All new players are required to play a trial game before officially joining. If you’ve got a positive attitude, both on and off the court, you’re more than welcome to become part of the team!

We play indoors, and all our games are mixed—everyone’s invited to play, regardless of gender. The key is open to all, and the focus is on having fun.

What to Bring and Know

  • Gear: Players need to bring their own white top and blue top. We also offer custom Playfit jerseys for purchase if you want to rep the club in style!

  • Safety: No marking-soled shoes, watches, earrings, jewelry, or glasses are allowed during games for safety reasons.

  • Attendance: To stay active in the club, you must attend at least 70% of games within a 90-day period.

  • Missed Games: If you can’t make it to a game, you’ll still need to pay for that week. But don't worry—we’ll try to find you a spot in another game if possible!

You can join us mid-season if there’s space available, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
